I fly out of Saskatoon at 10:10am on January 22, 2007. Which is less than a week from now. Yikes. But I’m pretty much ready to go I think… I haven’t packed or anything, haha, but… I’m ready to pack. I’ve got my raincoat, my slip on shoes, my guidebooks, my money, my passport/visa, my camera, a little photo album of pictures of my family and friends to show my new Japanese family and friends, umm… yeah and a bunch of other stuff. But… even though everything’s set up, organized and ready to go, am I really ready to go? I mean, I have to actually go to Japan now. Right. I guess that’s what I signed up for. And I guess that’s what I’ll do.


Things I’m excited for in Japan:

• eating things I can’t identify
• taking photos and posting them on here
• people watching
• seeing a white cat
• meeting my “speaking partner” Sacchan at the university
• calling back home
• sending postcards
• the above-freezing weather

Things I’m scared about:

• having to eat that gross thing Ally and Andrei told me about
• lots of people touching my hair
• missing people at home
• …but not wanting to come home when it comes time to
